Dog boarding at Dog Genius is more than simply a place for your dog to sleep while you are away. Every dog staying overnight automatically participates in our complete Day School program during the day.
Dogs enjoy supervised socialization, enrichment, indoor activities, time in our private outdoor yard and structured treadmill or slat mill exercise. They also practise group obedience skills such as place, sit, down, door manners, waiting calmly and maintaining neutrality around other dogs and distractions. After a full and purposeful day, dogs settle into their individual suites for a calm night, with overnight staff onsite available throughout their stay.
Each suite is private, climate-controlled and measures approximately 5’x3′, with calming music played overnight.
Boarding is charged per 24-hour period rather than per calendar night. Each 24-hour boarding period costs $100 and includes both the complete Day School program and the overnight stay.
More Than Traditional Dog Boarding
Rather than spending most of the day waiting in a kennel, boarding dogs follow a structured routine that combines physical exercise, mental enrichment, socialization, obedience practice and rest.
All activities take place inside our facility and in our private outdoor yard.
What Is Included With Boarding?
Every 24-hour dog boarding period includes:
- Full participation in our Day School program, including supervised socialization, enrichment, obstacle course activities, group place training, basic obedience practice and treadmill or slat mill exercise when suitable
- Private outdoor yard
- Overnight staff remain onsite throughout the night to provide supervision, care and support if needed
- Trainer-led group practice of sit, down, door manners, waiting calmly and impulse control
- Scheduled daytime rest
- Overnight accommodation in private suites at our Mississauga facility
There is no additional Day School charge. The daytime program and overnight stay are both included in the boarding rate of $100 per 24 hours.

Dog Boarding Eligibility
Our boarding service is available only to dogs who can participate safely and comfortably in the Day School environment. We do not accept dogs with behavioural issues for boarding. This includes dogs displaying aggression, unsafe reactivity or behaviour that could compromise the safety and comfort of other dogs or staff.
Existing Dog Genius Clients
Existing clients who are already approved for our services qualify for overnight boarding.
New Clients
New clients must successfully complete a behavioural evaluation before their first boarding reservation. The evaluation allows our team to confirm that your dog is comfortable in our facility and is an appropriate fit for the Day School and boarding environment.
Location & Pricing We’re located in Mississauga and welcome dogs from Oakville, Etobicoke, and the GTA. Pricing is $100 per 24 hours with multiple dogs discounts available.

Please bring your dog’s food, a flat collar, a blanket and any required medications. We provide everything else for each dog, including an elevated bed, food and water bowls and toys as needed.
Dogs receive their final potty break at approximately 10:30 p.m. before settling into their individual suites for the night.
